Physiotherapy Lamp Light Therapy
History of Physiotherapy: is a light therapy treatment that has been used in both medical and physiotherapy practices from ancient Egypt, Greece, and India throughout history to help with healing of the body. Florence Nightingale advocated ‘light as therapy’ in the 1850’s by using clean air and an abundance of sunlight to restore health. Niels Finsen in the late 19th century, adapted this concept, and received a Nobel Prize for the treatment of tuberculosis scarring with ultraviolet light, and treatment of smallpox scarring with red light. Light therapy has been used throughout history, in hospitals for dermatological conditions since 1950’s; particularly in Australia, USA, Canada, England, and Scandinavia. The use of light has expanded into new and exciting practices for many health challenges over the years. Is has had a long tradition in medicine.
What does it do? It’s help by restoring and maintaining normal function of the body and can have a huge impact on the individual, helping them to recover from an injury or live independently with a disability. It helps with skin, muscle tissue and other parts of your body. The mitochondria soak up the light and make more energy, this helps with repairing of cells to become healthier, and spurs healing in the skin and muscle tissues too.
What is light therapy good for? light has been used in neurological diseases, Parkinson’s, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cancer supportive care, depression, retinopathy of prematurity, cardiac surgery complication, dementia, hair loss, dental pain, tendinitis, Osteoarthritis, wrinkles, low back pain, all muscle pain, and many others.
Single Sessions:
1 body part – $10 for 15mins, $15 for 20mins, $20 for 30mins or add to therapy for $5 for 5-7mins
2 areas on the body- $15 for 20mins split, $25 for 30mins split or add to therapy for $10 for 10mins
Feel the healing of Light Lamp Physiotherapy. It is similar to the handheld near far infrared used on all therapy clients. The Far Infrared system is for full body wellness and healing.
