Does Dr. Hartman Follow HIPAA and Does She Have Too?
Unfortunately at this time, Dr. Hartman’s practice and business Whole Body HealthCare And Wellness LLC. ® does not fall under any requirements of HIPAA Laws. However, Dr. Hartman remains highly Professional and WILL NOT discuss your medical information and/or say your name to any other patient. Dr. Hartman becomes a part of your medical team, all patients sign a “Confidentiality” agreement, and it’s your decision to give permission to Dr. Hartman to use your situation as an example to help another patient; but your name, personal or medical history/ information will NOT be stated when helping another patient. If it is needed for Dr. Hartman to speak with your physician on your behalf, this would be when your name would be stated. If you are a Doctor /Medical Physician referring patients’ to Dr. Hartman, she will acknowledge she knows you and supports you as a physician but will NOT give out your personal or medical information you’ve discussed with her. Dr. Hartman remains a professional at ALL times and ONLY has the best interests in mind for all patients health and wellbeing and working with and referring patients to other doctors when necessary, is part of her beliefs of Whole Body HealthCare & Wellness LLC….There is NO gossip here, nor is it believed in either. All patients sign an NDA as well to protect theirselves and Dr. Hartman and her business. Everything stated/said to Dr. Hartman will be kept in strictest of confidentiality, unless legally stated otherwise…
Health record holders NOT subject to HIPAA Laws: Many organizations have health information about you but are neither the organizations nor the records are subject to HIPAA. The list of unregulated health record keepers include gyms, medical and fitness apps and devices not offered by covered entities, health websites not offered by covered entities, Internet search engines, life and casualty insurers, Medical Information Bureau, employers (but this one is complicated), worker’s compensation insurers, banks, credit bureaus, credit card companies. many health researchers, National Institutes of Health, cosmetic medicine services, transit companies, hunting and fishing license agencies, occupational health clinics, fitness clubs, home testing laboratories, massage therapists, nutritional counselors, alternative medicine practitioners, disease advocacy groups, marketers of non-prescription health products and foods, and some urgent care facilities. Commercial providers of Personal Health Records have health records but are not covered entities…
