Appointments: It is appreciated for patients to be here 5-10mins BEFORE their scheduled appointment time this way Dr. Hartman does not run late for other patients’. If a patient is running late Dr. Hartman has the right to take time away from their scheduled appointment time allotted. She believes your time is just as precious as hers and she wants you to succeed!
Follow-ups: are imperative to establish a personalized health plan that effectively addresses your specific concerns, goals, and helping to get to underlying causes. Results only last for a certain period of time and will become in valid over time. This is why patients need to be pro-active with their health and follow-up with a scheduled in office visit with Dr. Hartman. It takes BOTH you and Dr. Hartman working together for the betterment of your health. If you only communicate through email or on the phone after your initial appointment and do not schedule to see Dr. Hartman with in 3months or longer, how can she truly be able to help you? Following-up within a few weeks helps Dr. Hartman to know where you are, what might need to be added or tweaked etc. However, if you get a scan, come in for nutritional coaching etc. and then do not do anything with the results, get started late, don’t really understand what to do, you decide to try a product(s) etc. but you don’t schedule with Dr. Hartman; how is this allowing her to do her job and/or that you know the program worked or didn’t work for you? NOTE: If you do not do your part, nothing you do will work out the way you want it to. Examples: if you get a health scan but don’t do anything with the results you cannot state “the health scan didn’t work for you,” or if you came for coaching but you did not change anything or try to utilize any of the information you cannot state “I went for nutritional/ health coaching but it didn’t work for me,” or if you came in for a food scan but continued to eat the same way, eat out or fast food, etc. you cannot state “I did the food scan but it didn’t work for me,” or if you came once and did not schedule and it’s been months since you’ve seen Dr. Hartman since your initial appointment you cannot state “Dr. Hartman and/or her program didn’t work for me.” This is NOT Dr. Hartman’s fault and these are false statements. She is invested over 200+% and is eager to help those who come to her. Patients have to take responsibility for their own health, goals, wellness, and be disciplined in order to see true lasting results.
Realistic Goals: Dr. Hartman gives patients simple goals to be completed in each visit. She will work with what you are able to commit to that is reasonable and comfortable for you. She will NOT push you or push you into anything. She does not believe in telling patients they “have to do” something. She finds it more beneficial to work with patients at a level they are comfortable with while encouraging them for the steps they’ve taken, no matter how big or small. It is better for patients to achieve goals on their own without feeling forced to do something.
Patient Communications After Initial Appointment:
Copies: If you lose your copy of a scan and want another copy prices are as follows: $50 (up to 10pgs), $75 (up to 15pgs) $90 (up to 20pgs), and $100 for anything over 20pgs; due to cost of ink, paper, and wear-tear on the printer.
Replacement folders: are $6.00 per folder.
Payment Policy: Dr. Hartman maintains a cash based business, accepting cash or local checks. Laboratory, supplements, herbs, homeopathic medicines, clinical services, or treatments are additional costs and not listed above. Insurance cannot be accepted at this time due to the lack of licensure in Indiana for many fields considered non-medical, i.e., Functional, Integrative, Naturopathic, etc.
Cancellation Policy: A 24-hour cancellation policy is enforced. Without sufficient notice a fee will be enforced which is on documents signed in office. A no call/show will result in a FULL price charge of the visit. Dr. Hartman respects your time, understands how precious it is and asks for you to respect her time and understand how valuable and precious it is too.
Results Policy: health scans that are split into two appointments MUST to scheduled during business hours ahead of time within 4wks of the initial (1st) appointment unless labs are conducted. If labs are done within 6wks of the initial appointment. If a patient chooses NOT to make an appointment for the results, Dr. Hartman has the right to mail their results, certified with signature, and the 2nd appointment is completed. Dr. Hartman does the results appointment (2nd) free of charge 1 to 1.5hrs or what time was left from the initial appointment to go through everything with patients. No other doctor or office would see a patient for anything without charging for an office visit…
Labs: results will be emailed to you and/or able to be reviewed in office. Dr. Hartman is working on providing patients with a portal too. Reviewing your lab findings is critical to ensure that results are interpreted, understood, and managed in an appropriate way. You’re welcome to speak with Dr. Hartman and/or your medical physician about your results. Some labs will be ordered through Any Lab Test Now, or online through: Bio Health, Chelation Medical Center, Dutch, Genova, Great Plains Labs, Prometheus, Wellness FX, ZRT Labs etc.
Collaborating with other Healthcare Professionals: Although Dr. Hartman is a trained and licensed Immunologist, Integrative and Natural doctor, due to licensure rules in the state of Indiana she cannot medically diagnose, identify, claim to treat, prescribe, or administer vaccines. It is imperative that you continue to seek medical care from your primary care physician (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) for diagnosis, identification, and treatment of medical conditions. Dr. Hartman works with many physicians and natural doctors for the betterment of patients’ health and wellbeing, and believes in multidisciplinary healthcare and feels collaborating with other healthcare professionals is essential when caring for those she works with. As such, she may refer you to another healthcare provider if she feels that something is outside of her scope of practice, and she fully expects to work with healthcare providers as part of your health and wellness team.
